Tarot Tree of Life
Interactive Map Infographic Web Design

Project Information
This project allowed me to dive into a complex topic and methodically simplify it into a map while keeping in mind a specific target audience, interactivity, and user accessibility. I used this as a chance to conduct primary and secondary research on a topic I've always had interest in while never knowing where to start. I also conducted interviews with people belonging to a femme leaning, middle-class, millennial demographic in order to get a better understanding of how to reach them with specific visual cues.

Because this is such complex topic there was plenty of process work because I was gaining more and more information and finding different ways to organize and categorize the cards that make up the major arcana. Eventually I was lead to the Tarot Tree of Life layout that brought multiple uses and interpretations. I used crystal textures along each path way to identify their house while the placement of each allowed to a deeper meaning.

My design features a scrolling box housing information on history and use of the map while the box below features a table while in a static state to re eat quick information. While interacting with the map and scrolling over each path way that tabled box transform in to a more in depth description and explanation of each card.

Visually I knew I wanted to maintain a fairly minimal layout and color scheme while combining elegant type faces with bolder sans serifs. While I started without any color I did end up adding a muted gradient throughout the background tot create more visual interest.
